HOMARU CANTU

Founder, Cantu Designs and Executive Chef, Moto Restaurant

Chef Homaro Cantu is an internationally recognized chef and leader in the field of avant garde cuisine. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu and developing his culinary skills at several establishments on the West Coast, Mr. Cantu traveled to Chicago to work at Charlie Trotter's where he rose to the position of Sous Chef. Currently Mr. Cantu is Executive Chef at Moto Restaurant in Chicago. At Moto he melds food with science, technology and art to create a unique dining experience. In addition to his talents in the kitchen, Mr. Cantu is an inventor of futuristic food delivery systems. Through Cantu Designs Mr. Cantu has filed numerous patent applications covering dining implements, cookware and edible paper. The New York Times included his edible paper invention among one of their most notable ideas of 2005. As Chairman and Founder of Cantu Designs Mr. Cantu is working on developing his inventions for commercial application.
