MEG HOURIHAN

Meg Hourihan is widely recognized as one of the world's leading innovators in the design, development and implementation of weblogs and blogging technology. She co-founded Pyra Labs -- the company that produced Blogger and fueled the current blogging explosion. Pyra was acquired by Google. In 2003, Meg was named a "Young Innovator Who Will Create the Future" by MIT's Technology Review magazine. PC Magazine recognized Meg as one of its 2004 People of the Year.

After ten successful years in the Internet industry, in June of 2004 Meg decided to take some time off from the web and rediscovered her passion for food (something she lost during a stint of veganism in San Francisco). She honed her knife skills working garde manger at a restaurant on Nantucket, MA and seriously considered enrolling in culinary school. Recently she struck a balance between her love for technology and her love for food by turning her long-running blog, Megnut.com, into a food site. She is neither chef nor foodie nor critic, preferring the label "food enthusiast." She lives in New York City with her husband and her cat. She loves to eat soft-boiled eggs.
